- The goal of the Center for the Study of Federalism is to disseminate knowledge of the American system of government and other federal systems. The strength of PUBLIUS is its focus on all aspects of federalism: its principles, institutions, and processes. The journal's articles examine federalism and democracies constitutionalism regional, state, and county governance and the comparative study of federal political-system dynamics. Although many of the articles focus on the U.S. system, others examine Australia, Canada, and Europe (Katz).
