- Truly an international effort, ADVANCED ROBOTICS is the official journal of the Robotics Society of Japan, published by a small Dutch firm, and featuring articles by Russians, Germans, Arabs, and others, as well as many Japanese. Most articles are research papers, but issues may include short communications, topical reviews, reports, and meeting notes. Recent articles cover "grading of vegetative cuttings using computer vision," a gait study of a disabled hexapod robot, and animal behavior of small robots. The treatment is theoretical with a practical emphasis (Katz).
